Convoy of Zabadani wounded arrives at Beirut airport

The convoy of Red Cross vehicles carrying the wounded from the Syrian town of Zabadani arrived a while ago at International Rafic Hariri Airport in Beirut, where they will be transported along with their families to Hatay Airport in Turkey, NNA reported said on Monday.

The wounded and their families will travel aboard a private Turkish “Airbus 321” plane which arrived in Beirut this afternoon for this purpose.

Tight security measures were adopted at the airport prior and during the arrival of RC buses.

In the meantime, two other planes in Hatay Airport carrying a number of wounded and injured Syrians, along with their families (who arrived today in Turkey overland) will fly to Beirut, prior to be transported overland to Syria, as part of the Zabadani agreement.
