Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil issued diplomatic orders Tuesday to report Israeli violations and attacks against Lebanon over last year to the U.N. Security Council.
The report will include documentation of Israel’s daily land, sea and air violations against Lebanese sovereignty over 2015, which the ministry said totalled 1,168.
The announcement comes one day after Israel fired dozens of shells into three southern Lebanese border villages after Hezbollah targeted an Israeli military patrol with a road side bomb in the occupied Shebaa Farms.
The attack came in retaliation for Israel’s killing of a party commander in Syria last month.
